Planned Parenthood: The Modern Face of Hitler’s Eugenics
By: Kalene Ann
Planned Parenthood has been in the public eye for some time. However, the recent ruling of New York’s Governor Andrew Cuomo to legalize abortions up until the day of birth for the “health” of the mother, has pushed this organization to the forefront of people’s minds. There is a clear line of division when it comes to the subject of Planned Parenthood and the main reason of why they exist. A lot of people claim that PP does more for women than just abortions and that getting rid of this organization would hurt many women who seek health treatment. Yet, I strongly disagree with that statement. I would go as far as to say that we as humans would be better off without this perverse organization that cloaks it’s goal of eugenics under the guise of “women’s healthcare”.
First, let’s tackle the myth that abortions are not the primary function of Planned Parenthood through none other than their own annual report from the 2016-2017 fiscal review. Planned Parenthood performed 321,384 abortions in that time period. Also in that same time period only 7,762 prenatal services were performed. Even lower are the numbers of adoption referrals (3,889) which equals out to 1 adoption referral for every 83 abortions. In fact, the organization has abortion quotas that are required of the different branches and awards the clinics that go above the set goal. An article from The National Review states, “What’s more, Planned Parenthood performs about one-third of annual U.S. abortions, making it the single largest abortion provider in the country, by far. As the most expensive procedure provided, abortion underwrites a huge portion of the group’s bottom line.”
Secondly, the myth that if Planned Parenthood’s clinics close, women will have nowhere to go to receive healthcare. Let’s look at some numbers, shall we?
According to their report, Planned Parenthood extended their services to about 2.4 million people. Out of those, only 235,000 well-woman exams were performed, and 32,000 family practice services were given. By their own report, Planned Parenthood, out of 2.4 million clients seen, had a total of about 267,000 “health related services” performed. This report does not even state how many services were given to any one client. One woman could have had a pregnancy test, mammogram referral, STI test and met with a counselor, and that would account for four services provided.
Planned Parenthood had also closed 32 of their clinics in 2017, leaving the organization with a total of 597 facilities nationwide…sometimes leaving an entire state with only one or two clinics, yet PP supporters claim that without this organization, millions of women would not be able to receive essential healthcare. I’m going to go even further by stating the fact that there are over 13,000 federally qualified healthcare centers, as well as over 2,800 local health centers that offer a larger variety of healthcare services for women than Planned Parenthood clinics do, outnumbering Planned Parenthood centers 20 to one. With this information, one is able to admit that obviously women would be just fine without the existence of Planned Parenthood.
Now that a couple of the blatant myths about the primary function of Planned Parenthood have been debunked, let’s delve into what drives this organization by looking at what drove it’s founder, Margaret Sanger.
Sanger wrote a book titled, The Pivot of Civilization in which she writes, “Birth Control is the pivot of civilization. Birth Control, which has been criticized as negative and destructive, is really the greatest and most truly eugenic method, and its adoption as part of a program of eugenics would immediately give a concrete and realistic power to that science. As a matter of fact, birth control has been accepted by the most clear thinking Eugenists as the most constructive and necessary means to racial health” (Pg. 67, emphasis added). Eugenics is defined as “The science of improving the human population by controlled breeding to increase the occurrence of desirable heritable characteristics.” The “clear thinking Eugenists” that she references and used for inspiration for Planned Parenthood were some of the same people Hitler himself used as inspiration for building his “master race”. Don’t believe me? Let’s look at these people that Margaret Sanger surrounded herself with.
Ernst Rudin was the director of the foremost German eugenics research institute, giving the Nazis their eugenics program that resulted in the death of over 11 million people deemed unfit for life. He was a regular contributor to Margaret Sanger’s magazine, “The Birth Control Review”.
Lothrop Stoddard was the author of the book, The Rising Tides of Color Against White World Supremacy. In it, he writes of colored people taking over white nations and comes up with a list of ways to “wipe out the pollution before it becomes a widespread problem”. Hitler used this ideology as a basis for his cleansing, and made Stoddard’s book a mandatory read in German schools. Interestingly enough, Sanger also used Stoddard’s work as inspiration and invited him to be on the board of directors of her new organization, The Birth Control League….later to be known as Planned Parenthood.
Harry Laughlin was also key in the foundation of Nazi eugenics and racial perfection. This man was also invited to be on the board of Sanger’s organization.
Even though Sanger ended up distancing herself from eugenics after the entire world disavowed Hitler and his regime, her organization’s goal remained the same– only under the duplicitous guise of “birth control” and “women’s health”.
Although Sanger attempted to distance herself from the gross transgression against human rights that is the theory of eugenics, her organization has led the way to creating a “perfect race”. In her book that is referenced above she states,“The most urgent problem today is how to limit and discourage the over-fertility of the mentally and physically defective. Possible drastic and even Spartan methods may be forced upon American society if it continues complacently to encourage the chance and chaotic breeding that has resulted from our stupid, cruel sentimentalism” (Ibid, Pg. 9, emphasis added). We can see this very ideology at work in Europe already as Iceland has introduced a prenatal screening test which locates chromosome abnormalities that are known to cause Down Syndrome. The statistics are already up to over 99% of all babies who test positive for the chromosome abnormality are aborted. Iceland has pretty much declared war on people with Down Syndrome. “According to the latest statistics, 67-85% of preborn babies with Down Syndrome are aborted in the United States. In other countries the abortion rate for babies diagnosed with Down Syndrome can be as high as 90% in the UK, 77% in France and 98% in Denmark.”7 Who are we to decide who is “fit” to live?? One can ask any parent of a child with Down Syndrome and find that they are some of the happiest and fulfilled members of society. People with Down Syndrome are actually able to live long, productive lives contributing to society.
To arbitrarily choose who is fit to live is buying into the exact thought process of Hitler as he killed over 6 million Jews alone (not to mention his own people and Gypsies), in his quest to “perfect” the society he saw as soiled.
We as a human race have a serious problem at hand. Genocide is happening right under our noses, yet both society and Planned Parenthood deem it necessary in the fight for “women’s rights” and “in the name of our children”. How absolutely disgusting is it that the founder of what is supposed to be the “Champion of Women’s Rights” believes that “The most merciful thing that a large family does for one of its infant members is to kill it,” (taken from her book Women and the New Race).
Has humanity really fallen so far as to think we get to decide who is worthy of life? To think that the same ideology held by one of the cruelest human beings to ever live, is okay if it is cleaned up, polished and done in the name of “reducing the suffering of humanity”. Just because there is a pretty bow around it doesn’t make it anything short of genocide….of murder. The conservatives and pro-life supporters have got to band together, stand up and say, “No more”! We have to stop compromising and start fighting back. These infants can’t speak for themselves. The mentally handicapped can’t speak for themselves.
No, we have to. We have to, because if we do not, we are condemning them to their eradication from this world, just like Hitler was doing. It’s already begun. Remember the words of Edmund Burke, “The only necessary thing for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”
Planned Parenthood and their gross and twisted purpose need to be exposed and done away with.
Speak up.
Be their voice.
Vote Pro Life.
Fight back.
Abortion needs to end.
No compromise.
