5 Reasons Why Gary Johnson Shouldn’t Be The Libertarian Party’s Presidential Nominee
Over this coming Memorial Day weekend, the Libertarian Party delegates have a very important decision to make. They will pick who will face off against Trump and Clinton for the Presidency of the United States. I will make the case as to why Gary Johnson should not be the Libertarian Party’s pick for President, that I encourage all delegates to consider before the convention.
In no particular order.
REASON #1 – He doesn’t debate well
Over the past few months, there have been many debates amongst the party’s nominees both nationally and at state conventions, and time and time again Gary has proven himself to be insufficient, to say the least. He talks way too much about his personal life, often stutters, and isn’t very exciting. What makes this worse is that the debates have been a big talking point for Johnson, in his own words “There is no way a third party wins without being in the Presidential debates.” So you’d think that’d be one of his strong suits, but sadly it is not. It makes you wonder if he could go toe to toe with Trump in the general election. Which brings me to my next point…
Wow this was a HORRIBLE “article”. The “reasons” given are all very subjective, and not factual.
(Especially the one that “he’s not LP enough”)
Is there anything on this site that isn’t “click bait”?
The majority of content now is click bait, that’s how sites get visits and click-throughs. This is far from the worst or even most typical example thereof. However, I have to agree that the opinion here is just plain old soap-boxing, without any objective support for the author’s arguments – particularly the fifth reason. Still, there is some food for thought contained in Mr. Carr’s perspective.
no one thats voting for him cares if he is libertarian or not. if you want your party represented by a true libertarian, provide one. til then your party will continue to be used to house the 3rd most likely to win candidate regardless of their views.
