EPA Workers Caught Crying After Trump Won Election
Say what you will about Donald Trump, but you have to give the man credit for this. His nomination drove EPA workers to tears. Literally.
Just days after the election, Robin Bravender and Kevin Bogardus of E&E News reported that, “U.S. EPA employees were in tears. Worried Energy Department staffers were offered counseling. Some federal employees were so depressed, they took time off. Others might retire early. And some employees are in downright panic mode in the aftermath of Donald Trump’s victory.”
In fact Andrew Revkin of ProPublica reported on Wednesday that more than two months later, EPA employees are still “coming to work in tears.” And according to the Washington Free Beacon, the State Department held stress workshops after Trump’s victory.
Apparently the federal agents needed a safe space after the big, mean Donald won. Seeing as how he is proposing to make massive cuts to the EPA, it all makes sense. They’ll have to get real jobs now.
