After House Democrats failed to compromise with President Trump and give him the $5.7 billion he is asking for to build a wall on our southern border, Americans anticipate Trump to declare a national emergency to have the wall built.
The President traveled to the US-Mexican border this week just days after saying “bye-bye” to Nancy Pelosi in DC.
Democrats who fiercely oppose Trump’s border wall idea are not very enthused with rumors that the President might declare a national emergency.
Representative Mike Levin (D-CA) sent out a tweet yesterday, urging Democrats to fight President Trump in Congress, in the courts, and even in the streets.
If @realDonaldTrump declares a “national emergency” to pay for his border wall, we’ll fight him in Congress, in the courts, and in the streets.

The Democratic Congressman was swiftly called out on Twitter for his language, but has yet to clarify what he meant by this.
