How The Paris Climate Departure Made Me Love the President

Let’s Talk About President Trump

by I, AnCap

Allow me to begin by saying how liberated I feel. It’s a sensation you get when the enemy wins a long string of battles and you finally get when the tide of the battlewar changes in your favor. Too long has the left destroyed our economy with impunity, and now a brave billionaire President has stood up to them. Yes, I LOVE President Trump!

He’s the best thing since sliced bread, the best guy for the job since Coolidge. I voted for him, and I truly believe in 95% of what he does. There’s nothing better than some good ol’, genuine, billionaire President Donald Trump. If you don’t agree, you’re a communist, marxist, socialist, democrat, muslim atheist and a fake libertarian.

Now that you’ve gotten past the first two paragraphs, allow me to clarify. Recently, our site has been harangued as some kind of pro-right Republican shill outfit designed to turn libertarians to the GOP. If we praise Trump in any way, people will share our content saying “LOOK! LH is SHILLING for Trump!” and if we criticize him, these same people will ignore it.

Watch the reactions to this article. If you genuinely believe that first paragraph, you are an idiot. But guess what? There are a lot of idiots on the internet who are going to share this without even reading it.

Why the title?

Yes, I voted for Trump, and no, he wasn’t my first choice. I heavily criticized Trump throughout his campaign. I strongly supported Libertarian Candidate Austin Petersen until the party blindly handed Johnson the nomination. To this day, I continue to believe much of what Trump does will enrage me. His paid family leave will not benefit women at all. Bombing Syria almost made me have a conniption. The drama around the healthcare bill hasn’t impressed me, a key issue of mine. Hence, President Trump has a long way to go if he’s going to win my “love” for his policies.

That isn’t to say I hate him, or even dislike him. I do think he’s a breath of fresh air. I do agree that the Paris deal was awful. But ultimately, what’s excited me is the effect of the withdrawal. I love the mass hysteria and the outrage. Seeing the people who tried to take more of my money away lose their mind is comforting, in a way.

So, dear reader, do I love Donald Trump, the somewhat left Republican who I disagree with on a many number of issues? No. I think he’s a very tolerable inconvenience. But do I love President Trump, the icon, the troll who makes SJWs break down in tears? As a symbol of billionaire patriarchy that exemplifies everything socialists hate in a figurehead? The President Trump that makes certain libertarians whine and complain on their purity spiral to nowhere? You’re damn right I love that President Trump, and I hope he picks up his game, too.
