Yesterday, President Donald Trump shocked his supporters when he condemned Bashar al-Assad for the chemical attacks in Syria, even though there is little reason to believe Assad would carry out such an attack and the mainstream media offered no proof.
Trump supporters and those wary of an interventionist foreign policy may have more to be upset about today.
According to CNN,
“President Donald Trump has told some members of Congress that he is considering military action in Syria in retaliation for this week’s chemical attack, and recognizes the seriousness of the situation, a source familiar with the calls tells CNN.”
In 2013, Trump warned strongly against going into Syria.
Perhaps President Trump should take advice from his 2013 self instead of from the neocon establishment.
