DNC Chair Candidate Accidentally Admits Primaries Were Rigged for Hillary

Later this month, the Democratic National Committee will select a new chairperson to represent their party. The field features an array of candidates, including former US Secretary of Labor Thomas Perez, Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN), Fox News analyst Jehmu Greene, and Raymond Buckley, the chairman of the New Hampshire Democratic Party, among others.

Perez, who has been dubbed as the “establishment candidate” in the race, traveled to Kansas last Wednesday to pick up some votes from the heart of the country. But in an attempt to welcome the anti-establishment outsiders into the party, Perez may have slipped up.

Telling the crowd that Bernie Sanders supporters should feel welcome in the Democratic Party, Perez said:

“We heard loudly and clearly yesterday from Bernie supporters that the process was rigged, and it was. And you’ve got to be honest about it. That’s why we need a chair who is transparent.”

Perez took to Twitter later that night, claiming that he misspoke.
