Although there may be some federal bureaucrats who don’t like this idea, the rest of the country would be leaping with joy. With the prospects of re-claiming their conservative futures, the “dark red” states  of the midwest and south would love to see the west coast go its own way. Even some of the “deep blue” states on the east coast might support this effort as well.
