Secession In Action: New California Issues Declaration of Independence from Commiefornia

In a bid for independence, a vast majority of California has issued a statement of independence from the urban leftists in Coastal California, declaring the rest of the state as “ungovernable. In the public statement on why New California is applying for separation from the rest of the state, Paul Preston, who is the vice chair of New California, stated: “After years of over taxation, regulation, and mono-party politics the State of California and many of its 58 Counties have become ungovernable.”

Citing Article IV Section III of the US Constitution, the people of New California seek to split from the region that has forced the rest of the state to bow to the Left in a similar way that West Virginia separated from Virginia. This will likely lead to less resistance than the Calexit movement since that movement seeks to separate from the US entirely. Libertarians ought to support both initiatives as they are forms of secession and decentralization.

It seems that the people of rural California are sick and tired of the progressive nonsense of Governor Jerry Brown, and now they are seeking independence. There is no reason to not support independence for the people of New California. One can find more information about New California at newcaliforniastate.com.
