Neocons Try to Make False Missile Alert in Hawaii About Israel
Hawaiians had a very eerie wake up call this morning, as they awoke to an emergency alert message warning of an inbound missile to the island.
The message read, “BALLISTIC MISSILE THREAT INBOUND TO HAWAII. SEEK IMMEDIATE SHELTER. THIS IS NOT A DRILL.”
The island was able to breath a huge sigh of relief however, as the message turned out to be an error. According to Fox News, “Hawaii Emergency Management Agency spokesman Richard Rapoza says it’s not clear what caused the alert to go out.”
As Americans sat in shock this morning, momentarily believing that their nation was under attack, neoconservatives on Twitter took the opportunity to make the situation about Israel.
Writers for Ben Shapiro’s Daily Wire took to social media to lament how Israeli citizens “had to deal with it every single day”, and even went so far as to suggest that this is why American taxpayers need to fund Israel’s iron dome.
Other neocons took to Twitter to share the same sentiments.
Not only is Israel not our problem, but it is beyond despicable to place the security of another nation ahead of ours, especially mere moments after we were led to believe a ballistic missile was heading our way. Oddly enough however, they made no mention of how so many in the Middle East have had to awake to American bombs for decades on end, due to the foreign policy they support.
“The fact that people thought that America was under attack and neocons are making this about Israel is absolutely shameful. The warhawks will never put America first. They will always put Israel first.”
