William Shakespeare once wrote, “Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them.” Some men are fortunate enough to have all three.
Enter Senator Rand Paul (R-KY), the son of esteemed libertarian Congressman, Ron Paul.
Paul once famously schooled Bernie Sanders on healthcare, telling the socialist Senator that universal healthcare is tantamount to slavery, since taken to its logical conclusions, it would infer that doctors must be compelled to provide a service.
A man of many thug life moments, Senator Paul recently appeared on CNN to talk healthcare, and again made similar arguments.
After Paul pointed out the failures in Venezuela and arguing that “Socialism’s not a good idea. Socialism’s an utter failure,” CNN host Erin Burnett responded, “But you did just make a great argument for nationalized health care. You said ‘the bigger the group, the lower the cost,’ so all I’m taking is your argument to its logical conclusion.”
Paul then took the ball to the hoop for a slam dunk, responding, “I was talking about voluntary groups. Not the gulag.”
