Virginia Governor Says 93 Million Americans Die a Day From Gun Violence

Earlier this morning, 66 year old James T. Hodgkinson shot 5 at the Republican Congressional Baseball Practice, including majority whip Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA). Police say a motive remains unclear, though Hodgkinson’s Facebook page shows he was a very vocal leftist that despised President Trump, and had hoped for Bernie Sanders to win the White House.

Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe, another staunch leftist, spoke to the media after the incident to address the matter.

During his press conference, McAuliffe spoke about the issue of gun violence in the country, saying that “This is a very serious issue.”

McAuliffe then bizarrely proclaimed, “There are too many guns on the street. We lose 93 million Americans a day to gun violence.”

He later reiterated, before getting cut off by reporters that questioned his math, “This obviously, with 93 million people a day, it’s just something..”

A reporter asked, “Sir, just checking, 93 million is a big number. Did you mean to say 93 million? That’s a big number.”

McAuliffe corrected himself, answering, “93 million… 93 individuals a day.”
