President Donald Trump has been having quite a field day in his first week in office, seemingly trying to undo the mess Barack Obama left us over the past 8 years. And he may be taking yet another blow at the Obama legacy by removing the sanctions former President Obama recently placed on Russia, after alleging that they interfered in the 2016 presidential election.
President Trump plans on speaking with Russian President Vladimir Putin over the phone this weekend, and Trump’s senior advisor, Kellyanne Conway, was asked by Fox News this morning, “Some have suggested that the sanctions from the previous administration are going to be on the table right away – what could you tell us about the agenda?”
Conway responded, “All of that is under consideration and certainly in addition to improving relations with different foreign leaders and their nations around the globe.”
She later added, “Well you know what the president has said, it’s America first, and that includes his foreign policy and his national security moves.”
