According to the BBC, former Cuban dictator, Fidel Castro, was recently pronounced dead at the age of 90. Ironically, today would have been Augusto Pinochet’s 101st birthday. Pinochet was infamously known for having communists thrown out of helicopters, while President of Chile.
As President of Cuba, Castro turned the nation into a one-party, socialist state, and seized the means of production. Castro killed nearly 100,000 of his own citizens, many of whom were executed in firing squads.
